CULTURAL DAY 2022

Culture is often referred to as our way of life which refers to the way we speak, dress and our attitude towards others. Cultural day is an annual event in TZIS when we celebrate our cultural heritage and appreciate other cultures. During this event we always learn something new that is common to all cultures but done in different ways.
This year, our pupils showcased the traditional rulers of some tribes in Nigeria, their mode of dressing and how they are addressed. The traditional rulers of the three major tribes in Nigeria (Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo) were featured namely Emir, Oba and Igwe respectively. Also featured were the Attah of Igala and the Ohinoyi of Ebira land. Highlights of the event were fashion parade by the pupils representing the traditional rulers accompanied by their queens, presentations on the description of their royal outfits and what they represent and presentation of special delicacies of each of these tribes with their recipes. The children sang and danced with glee as their parents joined them delightfully. Parents came with different cultural dishes which they happily shared with others.

OLD SCHOOL DAY 2022

Our pupils and teachers were all beautifully dressed in old school outfits supported by our parents. Our teachers talked to us about the old school days and acted a drama of a typical school day the old school way. We all sang and danced to old school songs. It was a beautiful event wherein the children learnt a lot and also had fun.
